Lichty Guitars Hosts Geoff Achsion Guitar Workshop

May 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Internationally-acclaimed guitarist Geoff Achison kicks off his 2011 US tour in June with a string of back-to-back shows throughout the summer. On June 18th he'll be making a stop in Western NC to present a guitar workshop, providing  area guitar players the opportunity to learn from one of the very best.  

According to The Times of London Achison is  “Possibly one of the most gifted musicians to arrive on the scene … His playing verges on the miraculous.” The list of awards and acknowledgments for this musician is long and includes the Memphis Blues Foundation’s ‘Albert King Award,’ being chosen as one of the Top Ten Hottest New Guitarists by Guitar Player Magazine in 2008 and he was recently named as one of the top 100+ Guitarist You Should Know by TrueFire.

Geoff enjoys the opportunity to teach and is a regular instructor, and charter member at Jorma Kaukonen’s famous Fur Peace Ranch guitar camp in Ohio, USA. His workshops are relaxed and informal affairs where he engages his students in friendly conversation discussing their mutual love of music and desire to master their chosen instrument. Flat pick and finger-style, dynamic rhythm & lead are covered as well as some hot jamming tips.
