Courtyard Concerts Begin in June at Waukegan Public Library

May 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Waukegan workers and residents will have reason to lunch alfresco on Fridays when the Waukegan Public Library resumes its Summer Courtyard Concert Series in June. Now in its fourteenth year, the series provides free outdoor concerts every Friday, June through August, from noon to 1 p.m. in the library’s courtyard.
 
The lineup of primarily local bands features an eclectic mix of musical styles, including jazz, bluegrass, Cajun and rock. To listen to a clip of featured bands, visit www.waukeganpl.org. 
 
Concert-goers may bring their own lunch, or buy a box lunch available on-site from The Good News Kitchen.

June 24: Midway Ramblers Cajun Band
July 1: Adam Kromelow Trio (jazz)

July 22: Barrelhouse Bonnie (blues)
July 29: Dennis Stroughmatt et L’Esprit Creole
Aug. 5: Barry White and Friends (blues)
Aug. 12: Piper Road Spring Band (bluegrass)
Aug. 19: The Morganfields (60s/70s rock)
Aug. 26: Brent Mitchell (alternative/country)
