ITSM, Debenedet argued, can drive costs down and can improve business processes, only if people are part of the transformation process. Attitude, behavior, culture and resistance are key elements to take into consideration, he mentioned, and professional certification has a key role, as it helps people to act based on a proven, internationally recognized methodology, it reinforces them to be part of a team of global opinion leaders, it enables them to prove their know-how and experience and transfer such know-how into the business and, ultimately, it helps increase loyalty to the company, a key driver for business success.
