Chevy Humphrey, Arizona Science Center CEO, is one of Valley’s Most Admired

May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Chevy Humphrey, President & CEO of Arizona Science Center, has been chosen by Phoenix Business Journal as one of the Valley’s Most Admired CEO’s. She will be honored with other key Valley leaders on May 19 at Westin Kierland Resort.

Humphrey and other honorees were chosen for their accomplishments and footprint on the Valley’s business community. They were selected by the Phoenix Business Journal’s editorial panel and publisher because they are individuals who, through their companies or organizations and philanthropic endeavors, are making Arizona a better place to live and work.

Other Most Admired honorees include Don Cardon, President and CEO, Arizona Commerce Authority; Thomas Englert, CEO, Discount Tire Co.; Diane Enos, President, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community; and Kathleen Goeppinger, President and CEO, Midwestern University, to name a few.

“I am incredibly humbled to be honored as one of the Valley’s Most Admired CEO’s. I absolutely love what I do, and am grateful that shines through,” stated Humphrey.

Chevy Humphrey is in her sixth year as President & CEO of Arizona Science Center. She oversees the $8 million operation of the 164,000-square foot facility with more than 330 employees and volunteers. The Center features 4 levels of interactive science galleries and also includes the 285-seat IMAX® Theater and the state-of-the-art Dorrance Planetarium. Under her direction, featured exhibitions such as Titanic: The Artifact Exhibit, the thought provoking Gunther von Hagens’ BODY WORLDS & The Brain, RACE: Are We So Different?, and more were secured for presentation and opened at the Center.
