Announcing the Lost in Lexicon first edition as out-of-print

May 27, 2011 - PRLog -- In early February, Scarletta Press announced their contract with author Pendred Noyce for the Lexicon Adventure Series. The four-part series is a literary fantasy for kids age 9-12, and acts as the cornerstone for Scarletta’s Books for Young Readers line. The line is planned to intellectually stimulate and create strong, thoughtful readers.

Tumblehome Press originally published Lost in Lexicon: An Adventure in Words and Numbers, book one of the series, in October 2010. With Scarletta’s acquisition of the series, the new edition of book one is scheduled for publication on August 9, 2011. The out-of-print date for the Tumblehome edition has been announced as Wednesday, June 1, 2011. The first book from Scarletta Press is now available for pre-order (pbk ISBN 978-0-9830219-2-6 | ebk ISBN 978-0-9830219-3-3).

Lost in Lexicon tells the story of two cousins, Ivan and Daphne, on a quest to find lost children in a world of words and numbers running wild. With new friends, strange meetings, and deepening perils, the cousins must find a way to solve the mystery of the dancing lights in the sky and return the lost children of Lexicon to their homes, all while solving fun language and math problems.

“A rollicking, often tongue-in-cheek novel” (—ForeWord Reviews), Lost in Lexicon has been picked as a recommended read for the Indie Next Kids List Winter 2011, a finalist for two ForeWord Book of the Year Awards and one IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award, and an award-winning finalist for the 2011 International Book Awards.
