Follow on Google News | Reporters to Share Industry Insights at Media BreakfastThe Southwest Florida chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) will host its annual Media Breakfast on Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Panelists include print, radio, and television journalists who will share their perspectives.
By: Florida Public Relations Association - SW Chapter The theme of this year’s Media Breakfast is “Stepping Up to the Plate.” A roster of seven local media pros will be up to bat to share their insights and tips on effective media relations. The lineup includes Gulfshore Business magazine editor Phil Borchmann; Francesca Donlan, the “Good News” writer for the Fort Myers News-Press; Valarie Harring, Executive Editor at Breeze Newspapers; WINK-FM Program Director Michael Hayes; Penny Moore, Grassroots Editor for the Naples News Media Group; Florida Weekly Managing Editor Osvaldo Padilla; and WINK News Anchor Lois Thome. The two-hour Media Breakfast is designed to help local businesses and nonprofits get the most out of their media relations strategies. Questions will be encouraged. This year’s Media Breakfast will be held at the Holiday Inn Fort Myers Airport (9931 Interstate Commerce Drive) off I-75 and Alico Road, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Cost is $40 for FPRA members, $50 for non-members, and $15 for students.
