EnGarde body armor develops marine tactical kits for high threat sea zones

May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Since 2005, many international organizations, including the International Maritime Organization, have expressed concern over the rise in acts of piracy. On 2010, there are 53 ships hijacked with 1,181 seafares and 8 killed in Somali waters. The incidents dropped by more than half from 117 ships hijacked in 2009 due to naval deterrence and ships use of self-protection measures, but Somali pirates are now travelling farther afield.

In order to improve the safety of merchant mariners EnGarde has recently developed three tactical armor kits. These tactical kits have been especially designed for mariners operating in high threat sea zones.
