ebm-papst at National Manufacturing Week

May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- ebm-papst are showcasing their Variodrive C motor – a state-of-the-art mains powered EC drive solution for industrial pump and fan application with real-time speed control via Bluetooth® over RS485. This motor is an intelligent alternative to standard IEC cage induction motors and comes in an enclosed, compact design with integrated electronics and motor protection.

Also on display is a wide range of powerful, efficient and smart compact fans for cooling applications in cabinets, switchboard ventilation and machine cooling.

Notably is the ACmaxx compact fan range which will show energy savings and ease of use across a wide supply voltage / frequency band without sacrifice of any air performance as well as the ebm-papst SForce DC fans which show high power density. The manufacturer exhibits an extended range of ESM fans including the new semi-centrifugal design type. Furthermore, ebm-papst A&NZ will be displaying a range of latest technology compact and modular DC geared motors for a range of automation applications in manufacturing to materials handling, in medical and laboratory, in pumps and the textile industry.

Also on exhibit is an EC axial fan type W3G500-CE33-11 being speed controlled and monitored over RS485. On demonstration will be the flexibility to program the fan to (a) open loop PWM control mode whereby the fan responds to an analogue input from an external potentiometer and or (b) closed loop sensor control mode whereby the fan responds to a sensor. All of these are achieved by using the ebm-papst versatile software EC Control using a USB/RS485 converter. This solution is easy to use and ideal for quick programming of fans.

ebm-papst A&NZ have been participating at the National Manufacturing Week for the last 4 years and will be once again participating in this years’ show in Melbourne.
