The mission of the festival is to “use Jazz as a vehicle for helping young people develop the kind of respectful attitudes, discipline, and leadership qualities that will enable them to become productive adults. To foster the preservation of Jazz as an important American art form and to provide music skills, guidance and opportunities for students regardless of ethnic, culture, gender or family financial circumstances.
