Children’s Minister to Update Early Years Sector at NDNA Conference

National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) today announced that Children’s Minister Sarah Teather MP will be speaking at NDNA’s ‘essential nursery conference’ which takes place at The Royal Armouries, Leeds on 9 – 10 June.

May 18, 2011 - PRLog -- National Day Nurseries Association, Head Office, 17 May 2011 – National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) today announced that Children’s Minister Sarah Teather MP will be speaking at NDNA’s ‘essential nursery conference’ which takes place at The Royal Armouries, Leeds on 9 – 10 June.

Sarah Teather MP will be giving a ministerial address at 10.30am on day one of the conference, Thursday 9 June. NDNA is inviting the Minister to update delegates on a range of key areas for the early years sector including the review of the Early Years Foundation Stage, new developments and what’s next for free nursery education. Following her speech, the Minister will take questions.

Nurseries around the UK are booking on to the event which is designed to update, inspire and inform those working in the early years sector. The event will be Chaired by Rosie Bennett, Social Affairs Correspondent at The Times and confirmed speakers include Neil Griffiths, inventor of the ‘Story Sack’, Robin Balbernie, child attachment specialist and Graham Allen MP, Chair of the Government Review on Early Intervention. A range of workshop options will help delegates in areas including building local authority partnerships, managing parental debt and using social media.
