PRLog - May 19, 2011 - BURLINGAME, Calif. -- Debra Disman is a Decorative Painter, who is intent on making the world a more beautiful place, one space at a time.  Whether it’s the walls in your home, a mural on the side of a building, furniture reinvented through the art of decorative painting or the branding of a business via a wall mural, Disman brings a unique combination of skills to every project.

The owner and Principal of San Francisco Bay Area ArtiFactory Studio (http://www.artifactorystudio.com), she combines her extensive background in art and art history, ornamentation, and color to deliver one-of-a-kind projects. Her love of travel, combined with a career of teaching and completing commercial and private projects enables her to delight clients by transforming their words into meaningful visual creations!

“Debra’s expertise has been gained through education, travel and experience.  It’s a wonderful foundation for the educational articles she writes,” said Debbie Josendale, Publisher, San Francisco Bay Area Woman's Journal(http://www.bayareawj.com). “In this chaotic and hectic world, the joy that our readers experience from Debra’s articles provides welcome relief and teaches us how decorative painting can enhance our home as our sanctuary.”

With a degree in painting from the University of Iowa, Disman has also studied her craft in France, San Diego, CA and San Francisco, CA. She is a member of the International Association for Colour Consultants & Designers, and provides commentary on color and its impact for Artistically Speaking Radio.  Disman is a regular contributor to Cre8tive Compass Magazine.

“Experience shows that we can become more calm, energetic, stimulated, peaceful and alive through interaction with our visual surroundings,” says Disman. “Colors, forms, textures and images can stimulate your imagination, depict your dreams, express your innermost self, and communicate hopes, thoughts and feelings you may not have known you had!”

Disman is passionate about sharing her knowledge as well as creating spaces that transform and bring joy to her clients. Her innate artistic skill shows up in the beautiful articles she writes for the San Francisco Bay Area Woman’s Journal.  Intended to educate readers on the “how, why and where of decorative painting”, her words and associated photos not only teach but inspire readers to live a beautiful life!
