Unsettled Lives - Book Cover
Author and dream counselor Rose Gordy spent thirteen years of her early life as a nun effectively cut off from the world. In spite of the conditions within the church, she managed to leave and make a life for herself including getting married and having three sons. Through her experiences in the convent as well as decades of teaching in the classroom, she has woven a compelling story honoring the lives lost and changed forever by triumph and adversity.
"Unsettled Lives - A Collection of Short Stories" presents numerous tales of people caught in the second-guessing, soul-searching, and uncertain decision-making periods of their lives. Will the myriad characters opt for the "right" path seemingly laid out for them? Yes, they may eventually find their way... but all too often they shall otherwise stumble into unexpected and unique journeys we call the "Human Experience."
In dealing with their lives of quiet and not so quiet desperation, the book's characters may rise above the pain and face new tomorrows with hope and joy. Or perhaps some of them may find their fate in hapless distress and melancholy. What threads of life's twists and turns will determine the direction and destiny that awaits them?
“Having Rose Gordy on ‘The Balancing Act’ has brought yet another inspiring story of perseverance to women, one that will have a real impact, and help them balance their lives.
