Regency at Monroe Welcomes Newly Engaged Homeowners with a Unique “Regency Love Story”

Toll Brothers Regency at Monroe was recently the subject of a "Regency Love Story" when a couples' marriage proposal involved the active-adult community in Middlesex County, New Jersey.

May 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Regency at Monroe, a spectacular resort-style community by Toll Brothers in Monroe Township, New Jersey, attracts numerous active-adult buyers with unique stories and backgrounds, but most recently, the community was at the center of a couple’s marriage proposal.

Melvin Weiss, and his new fiancée Sandy, got engaged over a fortune cookie.  Melvin creatively slipped “Will you marry me?” in as the message inside the cookie, and an elated Sandy accepted his proposal.  The happy couple, residents of another local active-adult community, decided to tour Regency at Monroe.  They discovered that the community was perfect for them, but had a few outstanding details to work out.  One romantic evening, Melvin surprised Sandy with a small gift-wrapped box.  Excited, Sandy assumed it was the earrings she had wanted, but instead, she was delighted to find a key to their new home at Regency at Monroe that Melvin had secretly purchased for them.  The couple plans to begin their new life together in their Bayhill home, a popular choice at the community.

“What a great story,” said Matt Markovich, Toll Brothers New Jersey Division Assistant Vice President.  “We often have groups of friends and neighbors who decide to purchase at Regency at Monroe together, but this may be our first Regency love story!  We’re very excited to welcome Melvin and Sandy and wish them all the best,” he added.

Regency at Monroe homeowners enjoy access to the award-winning 40,000 square foot community clubhouse which hosts various weekly social functions and resident get-togethers.  Clubhouse amenities include a 4,300 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center; concierge service; pampering spa complete with massage therapy, steam rooms, and hot tub; indoor and outdoor swimming pools; tennis and bocce courts; library; arts and crafts studio; card and billiards rooms; and a tot lot for visiting grandchildren.  A spectacular multipurpose room with capacity for over 1,000 people touts a hi-tech multimedia theater with surround sound, dining and catering facility, spacious dance floor, and a dramatic rear deck.  The community also features a USGA nine-hole, Arnold Palmer-designed executive golf course.

Recently named Active-Adult Community of the Year by the New Jersey Builders Association, Regency at Monroe is located in Middlesex County and is close in proximity to major state thoroughfares.  The community is just 20 minutes from Princeton and New Brunswick, and an hour from New York City, allowing homeowners to remain at the center of everything while still enjoying a quiet, picturesque community.
