Five NSCS Members Receive Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars Award

Five outstanding NSCS members have been awarded the Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars scholarship for creating an outstanding service or volunteer program in their campus community.
 
May 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Five outstanding NSCS members have been awarded the Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars scholarship for creating an outstanding service or volunteer program in their campus community.

“We could not be more proud of these five NSCS members,” said Steve Loflin, CEO & Founder of NSCS. “It is their innovative spirits and commitment to service, ideals that can be found in NSCS members across the county, that will help them change the world.”

Each NSCS member will receive a $10,000 scholarship and the option for funding for an
Alternative Spring Break trip. Alternative Spring Break is another program sponsored by Liberty Mutual in which students partake in service projects during their spring breaks.

The 2011 Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars Award recipients are:

•   Andrew Morris, Howard University
•   Carl Coffil, University of Massachusetts, Amherst
•   Tara Hart, Florida State University
•   Lauren Habig, University of Connecticut
•   Meghan McNabb, University of Washington

Last year more than 1,000 college undergrads submitted applications to the Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars program.
