'You Are Just My Type' - 3D Laser Cut Limited Edition Typographic Art

May 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Cutture and More Than Words will produce only 150 pieces, consisting of the phrase ‘You are just my type’, laser cut from a luxurious leatherette card, with the representation of tiny metal type sorts spelling out ‘I Love You x’, scrolling like paper from a laser cut typewriter, cut and assembled in layers. This is then mounted onto textured card, using a bright teal background colour that really pops, before being framed to fine art standards in a 3” deep heavy dark wood. Its intricate work and the finished results are stunning.  Each piece will come with a unique laser cut numbered tag.

More Than Words was launched in 2010 by creative designer Lisa Long. Lisa's lifetime love of interiors, graphic design and typography, combined with a search to find a piece of original artwork for her own home, led her to follow her creative passion.

2009 saw the launch of Cutture by husband and wife design team, Dominic and Helen Sharland. With over a decade of graphic design and interior architecture experience, their passion for graphic design and paper cut art led them to the luxury stationery industry. They are excited by the collaboration with Lisa, a natural progression for their laser cutting expertise and design experience.

“It seemed such an obvious partnership when we approached Lisa in 2010 about a collaboration, Lisa’s work is very interesting and typography is always an avenue we at Cutture have wanted to explore further in the laser cut art form. There are many types of art pieces out there that use typography, and indeed laser or hand cut, however we wanted to create something a little different, going slightly 3 dimensional to add depth to a piece. We really hope that between us we have succeeded in producing an unusual and quality piece of art for people to display on their walls with pride!”.
