PRLog (Press Release) - May 16, 2011 - UK Energy secretary Chris Huhne today announced plans to introduce regulations to ensure rented properties meet minimum energy efficiency standards under the green deal.
Under the proposals, it has been announced that Energy ratings of F and G will be outlawed in rental properties from 2018.

As of April 2016 landlords will not be able to refuse reasonable requests from tenants or local authorities to improve their property.

This is expected to involve the improvement of at least 682,000 properties.
