The Lake Norman Orchestra: An Evening at Davesté Vineyards

May 14, 2011 - PRLog -- The Lake Norman Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Eduardo Cedeño, will perform Davesté Vineyards' largest-ever musical event at the vineyard in Troutman on Saturday, May 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.   The evening will include a selection of patriotic, classical and show tune music.  With their admission, guests will enjoy their choice of fine wine tasting, or one glass of wine with a complimentary souvenir wine glass.  

Please join us as the Lake Norman Orchestra celebrates in the vineyard!   For this family-friendly event, there is an admission fee of $10 cash ticket purchase per adult payable at the vineyard entrance gate.   Davesté Vineyards Wine Club Members pay $8 cash per person at the gate.  There is a $5 cash per person charge at the gate for ages 20-16 (includes entertainment only)   Ages 15 and under are free.

Bring a picnic basket and a lawn chair!  Caterer Charles Barber will be cooking on the "Big Green Egg Cooker". Delicious Pulled Pork or Shrimp Provencal with slaw, rice pilaf, yeast rolls and drink will be available for $9.00 cash.  Cheese cake will be available for an extra $2.00.   Please see the Winery News for details.

ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA:  The Lake Norman Orchestra, a not-for-profit community organization, welcomes all volunteers who desire to improve their musicianship, share their talent with their peers and provide quality entertainment throughout the Piedmont region of North Carolina. The LKNO performs several concerts throughout the year at numerous venues in the Lake Norman area. The LKNO musical repertoire is as diverse as its membership, so you're sure to find something you enjoy. Rehearsals are held every Monday evening, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Baptist Church in Mooresville.


ABOUT THE CONDUCTOR:  Eduardo M. Cedeño has performed as a conductor, soloist and collaborative artist in the United States, Europe, and South America. As a founding member of the Simon Bolivar Orchestra, Director and Conductor of the Merida Symphony Orchestra and as a Founding Member of the Philharmonic Choral Group of Caracas, Venezuela, he has worked with the founder of El Sistema and the Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela. Cedeño has collaborated with numerous performing organizations including the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Opera, and Charlotte Civic Orchestra; UNCC Opera and Carolina Voices, as well as various orchestras in Caracas, Venezuela. In addition to conducting the Lake Norman Orchestra, Cedeño presently serves as Adjunct Music Faculty at Mitchell Community College in Statesville, and Music Director at Community School of Davidson High School in Davidson, NC.
