Zimbabwe to be represented at the Miss Earth Pageant

PRLog (Press Release) - May 14, 2011 - It is our pleasure to announce that  Miss Zim-International that holds the following titles; Miss Zimbabwe USA, Miss Zimbabwe Canada, Miss Zimbabwe UK, Miss Zimbabwe Germany and Miss Zimbabwe South Africa has acquired the licence for Miss Earth for Zimbabwe.

Miss Earth is an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. Along with Miss Universe and Miss World contests, Miss Earth is one of the three largest beauty pageants in the world in terms of the number of national-level competitions to participate in the world finals. Miss Earth is also one of the most publicized beauty contests in the world. The reigning titleholders dedicate their year to promote specific projects, address issues concerning the environment as well as other global concerns.The current Miss Earth titleholder is Nicole Faria of India who was crowned on December 4, 2010.

Miss Zim-International contests are run concurrently with  ZimExpo events. The next ZimExpo event  will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio from May 27th – 29th to crown Miss Zimbabwe USA.

This year all the winners of these various regions will further compete in the finals where the ultimate winner will represent Zimbabwe in the Miss Earth finals. This year's finals will be held in Zimbabwe in December.
