May 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Love it or hate it, spring cleaning has arrived. 77% of Americans say they regularly engage in spring cleaning, according to The Soap and Detergent Association’s (SDA) 2008 Spring Cleaning Survey. High on the spring cleaning to-do list: organizing and filing. The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), state that getting rid of clutter eliminates 40% of housework in an average home because 80% of what we keep, we never use. Professional Organizer, Leslie Josel is here to help get through the cleaning crisis on Wriggling in the Middle, North Ohio’s WHBC 1480 Talk Radio Show on Monday, May 23 at 9:10 am (Eastern Time).

Leslie Josel joins us to discuss the overwhelming task of spring cleaning and how taking only 15 minutes a day can help complete this job. She will talk about the best way to store seasonal clothes and review new trends and ideas for donating items. With school ending soon, Leslie will share tips on what to do with all the paper that will be sent home as well as what is safe to shred and what needs to be saved after Tax Season. Finally for our caregivers, Leslie Josel will talk about cleaning and organizing an elderly parent’s home and what happens when the line is crossed into compulsive hoarding.

Leslie Josel was recently featured on TLC's hit show, "Hoarding: Buried Alive," and acts as an after-care consultant for “Hoarders” on A&E providing follow-up care to the families appearing on the show.  A member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), Leslie has received its Golden Circle distinction. She also received her Chronically Disorganized Specialist Certificate and a Hoarding Specialist Certificate from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization (ICD).  Leslie also volunteers with The Connecticut Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities (CACLD), is the parent liaison for her son’s SEPTA (Special Education Parent-Teacher Association), and teaches organization and job readiness skills to middle and high schoolers in her district.
