Susan has been in the staffing industry for the past thirty years.  Due to the current economic climate, Susan has seen a “sea change” in jobs and careers nationwide.  Two years ago, she examined her passions which were writing and speaking and forged a new path for both herself and her company. She also wrote her first book, “Dude. Seriously. It’s NOT all about YOU! ….a rant on the need for good communications in this 24/7 world. This book will be published this summer.

As a result of her experiences, The Ascher Group developed a new division called The Sphere of Excellence in Communications. This division helps organizations differentiate themselves through better communication. All of the programs are specifically tailored to the individual needs of a client, and all revolve around communication and differentiation strategies which deliver bottom line results.

Recent projects include coaching and teambuilding for 160 associates over several sessions for a major healthcare provider. The goal was to change the organization’s culture through better communications among their associates in order to create a more collaborative team.

Another client, a “Big 4” Professional services accounting firm, brought her in to present to the partners on differentiating the firm through better protocol not only with clients, but also with their internal associates. In both cases, the clients felt it important to bring in an outside firm with total objectivity towards the company.

A sought after national media resource, Susan is a regular presenter at Lee Hecht Harrison, an outplacement firm specializing in professionals in transition.  She is a frequent commentator on TV 8 in Vail, Colorado and been interviewed on Bloomberg, ABC, NBC, CNBC,  News 12 and My9TV.  Susan has presented workshops at universities throughout the country such as Colorado Mountain College in Edwards, Colorado, William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Florham Park, New Jersey.   She is also at work on her first book.

She has been interviewed and published in Forbes magazine, The Star-Ledger, NJBIZ and New Jersey & Company magazine.
