The Peeek web system produces a single score for each company, which is then compared to companies of the same type. Somewhat similar to credit scores, each company is rated based on several inputs. However, unlike a credit score, there is no maximum.
Users can search for AV companies by location, company type, or name. Users will undoubtedly compare companies by their respective scores, but they can learn much more by viewing each profile. Company profiles include basic information like location and contacts, and comprehensive items like certifications, team members and market segments served. Users can view the certifications posted by companies and individuals. Company and personal information on Peeek is user contributed and human moderated. In many cases, such as industry certifications, Peeek staff manually verifies the correctness of submitted content as well.
“We’re very excited to announce the launch of Peeek.org,” said Matt Smith, Peeek Network’s co-founder and lead developer. “We’ve been waiting for a site like this for years. A few months ago, we decided to build it ourselves. Now customers can find AV companies in their area, and easily identify quality organizations. Our scoring algorithms produce an objective rating for each company, offering a level playing field to everyone involved. We strongly encourage AV companies and their team members to use Peeek as a means of promotion and proof of qualifications. All company types are welcome, and we human moderate everything, so only industry-specific, appropriate content is published.”
