By: Jenny Pearce The BTA has launched the corporate member scheme to raise awareness and funds for the charity. It is an ideal opportunity for both large and small companies wishing to support the tinnitus community across the UK and is a means of engaging in corporate social responsibility practices. By supporting the BTA through this new scheme, members will also be contributing to the funding of further clinical research into finding a cure for tinnitus – a condition which affects 10% of the UK population. The BTA’s corporate membership scheme offers Silver or Gold membership at £295 annually or £445 annually respectively. The Silver membership is also available for just £195 per year for charities and public sector partners. Benefits of the Silver membership include; one free place at the BTA’s Annual Conference, up to 5 members of staff can benefit from reduced members rates on BTA course and conference fees, a 10% discount on advertising in Quiet, and up to 200 of any BTA information leaflets, free of charge. Benefits of the Gold membership include; two free places at the BTA’s Annual Conference, up to 10 members of staff can benefit from members rates on course and conference fees, a 20% discount on advertising in Quiet, exclusive support opportunities at events run by the BTA and up to 500 of any BTA information leaflets, free of charge. David Stockdale, CEO of the British Tinnitus Association, said: “We are very excited about this new venture, as it is an opportunity to increase awareness as well as raise funds for the BTA while engaging companies in the charity’s work.
