By: The Playground Headlining act Eskmo will perform the UK debut of his live A/V show after a roaring success of the show in San Francisco earlier this year. With the release of his latest material “We Got More” / “Moving Glowstream” Remix EP on May 16th, Eskmo will be giving his audience a taster of what can be expected from his exciting new material. The San Francisco based producer claims to have developed his take on break-beat style electronica, heard in his self titled album, after spending time absorbing London’s underground electro culture. With British influences adding to his already unique sound, Eskmo is set to impress at this one off event. Said to have created his own sound, Eskmo has developed his musical stylings over the past decade, sighting his influences as Aphex twin, Chemical Brothers and Moby along with many more electro greats. Having recently collaborated onstage with ‘Beats Antique,’ Eskmo is breaking the boundaries of Dubstep and Electronica, pushing towards what is, as yet, an unclassified genre. Main support at this event comes in the form of Dels, recently signed to Big Dada. This new young MC is tipped for stardom. With his latest track produced by Hot-Chip’s Joe Goddard, and his industry mates including the likes of Ghostpoet, Dels is drawing from a variety of genres and influences to produce his very own finely tuned style of gritty British Hip Hop. He offers a fresh sound sure to keep crowds excited late into the night at the Village Underground event. Attendees at this Shoreditch event will also be graced with performances from Kwes, an industry favourite who’s previous production works include the likes of The XX’s early work and Damon Albarn’s ‘Monkey’ Opera as well as producing tracks with Zero 7. The event will also host Brooklyn based psychedelic electro artist Machinedrum as well as London based producers Anxst, Blank Disco and Seams. Village Underground can be found at 54 Holywell Lane, Shoreditch. Doors open at 9pm and tickets are on sale now via www.theplayground.co.uk.
