The Photographer's Guide to Marketing and Self-Promotion
The first workshop, Getting Your Business Started, will be held June 18th from 10 am to 1 pm. You will learn how to: start a creative business, handle taxes and business records, find the best clients for your creativity, sell your work by getting appointments, make presentations and better deal with pricing and negotiating. Find out how to start and successfully run a creative services or photography business. New topics added for summer session: protecting both your copyright and client privacy rights, taking charge of what you charge and how to get the money.
The second workshop, Marketing in Today's Economy, will be held June 18th from 2 pm to 5 pm. You will learn: techniques to keep your clients coming back, to become more aware of the courtship and bonding in the photographer and client relationship and the latest in web sites, direct mail and internet marketing. Piscopo will teach you marketing skills and self-promotion techniques to better communicate as a creative professional on a higher and more competitive business level. New topics added for summer session: adding “call to action” to direct mail, better email marketing and improving web site response.
Both workshops will be presented at the 1135 N. Highland Avenue, Los Angeles store. Advance registration is recommended to be sure to get all the class materials.
