Chicago – May 12, 2011 - Dan Kite, Managing Partner Chicgoland Sunbelt’s Downtown office, is pleased to announce that Jim Peddle is joining the office as a Senior Broker. Chicagoland Sunbelt is part of the Sunbelt Network, the largest business brokerage firm in the United States. Peddle has over twenty years of entrepreneurial business experience and is considered an expert in business development, financial analysis, real estate and operations. Peddle began his career working at his father’s building materials company while attending the University of Iowa in the 1980’s. After the sale of this business, Peddle moved into the banking field where he worked for a number of large national financial services companies catering to self-employed borrowers.

In his spare time, he is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children assisting in their extracurricular activities.

Kite has 20 years of entrepreneurial business experience and is considered an expert in business development, franchising, retail operations, technology development and real estate development. He has owned, developed, operated and sold several of his own businesses, including a chain of Blockbuster Video stores, Screenz Computing Centers and Tailor’s Touch. All told, these efforts included over 20 retail outlets and 10 real estate development projects.

Kite holds his MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
