The list was developed through nominations, research and a rigorous review with peer organizations and is composed of hospitals, health systems, surgery centers and large physician practices. Becker's Hospital Review is a bimonthly magazine published by ASC Communications located in Chicago, Ill. The magazine is read by many of the nation’s leading healthcare executives and policy makers.
This is the third significant media honor that South Nassau has received this year. Previously, South Nassau was voted the Best Hospital on Long Island by readers of The Long Island Press and the U.S. News & World Report's first-ever Best Hospitals metro area rankings ranked South Nassau thirty-fifth among all hospitals in the New York metropolitan area, which includes hospitals based in New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, and northern New Jersey.
