Canadian Web Hosting Company Serves Up Green

Canadian Web Hosting recently enrolled with the Green Business Bureau to begin the process of becoming green business certified.

May 12, 2011 - PRLog -- HOUSTON – The employees of Canadian Web Hosting, a leader in the web hosting industry, have implemented green practices such as paper and plastic recycling, buying sustainable products, and buying greenware for the snack area on an individual basis for years.  While the practices were encouraged by the company’s management, they were not mandated.  That’s about to change.

“As a company we wanted to learn and utilize better methods to improve our business practices and processes not only to serve our customers, but also to better protect the environment we live in,” says Matt McKinney, Canadian Web Hosting’s Director of Operations.

Canadian Web Hosting recently enrolled with the Green Business Bureau (GBB) on its way to becoming a green certified business.

“By partnering with the GBB, we believe that we have aligned with an organization that is a leader in assisting business in recognizing what it means to be a green company,” says McKinney.  “Whether it is through onsite consultations to identify opportunities to improve, or through analysis of our existing business practices to implement more sustainable business practices, GBB has team members who understand not only what it takes to run a business, but can offer viable strategies and solutions in looking sustainability issues.”

McKinney says that by engaging in sustainable and green business practices, Canadian Web Hosting will create a work environment that is both positive and, more importantly, contagious to those that the company works with.  The company hopes that by going green, it will be able to:

•   Set a positive example for our employees which will in turn boost morale and company loyalty

•   Gain an advantage by separating Canadian Web Hosting company from its competitors through sustainable green business practices and aligning our organization to other business’ with the same commitments and ideals.

•   Improve overall efficiency of the organization by lower operating costs and reducing waste, which in turn allows it to lower prices and give customers another competitive edge.

•   Provide a safe and healthy work environment

“Besides having a positive impact on our local community and creating added benefits for our customers, we are excited about creating a positive atmosphere for all of our employees,” says McKinney.  “By helping our employees and customers feel good, we believe that we are making a positive impact everything we do.”
