Great creative minds reveal the “route to the loot” at Product Design + Innovation Conference

Leading innovators and designers responsible for some of the UK’s most successful products and technologies will convene in London 18-19 May to explore where good ideas come from and discuss how product design & entrepreneurship can be integrated.

PRLog - May 12, 2011 - Leading innovators and designers responsible for some of the UK’s most successful products and technologies will convene at the ExCel Centre in London next week (18 and 19 May) to explore where good ideas actually come from and discuss how product design and entrepreneurship can be integrated. The unique conference dedicated to industrial design features expert speakers from brand owners and design consultancies including:
•   Julian Thomson, director of advanced design at Jaguar Cars
•   Richard Seymour, co-founder and design director, SeymourPowell
•   Jonathan Hague, vice president of open innovation, Unilever Research and Development
•   Henrik Otto, senior vice president Global Design, Electrolux
•   Peter Cooke, design lead, British Airways
•   Simon Colbeck, head of technology, Marks & Spencer
Speakers will discuss why product design needs to evolve, how the value of design can be better communicated to business and government, how to protect intellectual property without stifling innovation and how to combine sustainability with form and function.
The response to the two-day conference organised by Crain Communications and supported by British Design Innovation and the Institution of Engineering Designers has already exceeded expectations, with over 130 delegate bookings and a number of sponsorship deals secured.
