May 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Lightweight solutions for long shelf-life packaging that also help to meet food manufacturers’ sustainability objectives.

Alongside the company’s established successes in thermoforming, blow moulding and sheet will be innovations in injection moulding.

RPC Bramlage Food will unveil its new barrier technology that provides a shelf life of up to 24 months to offer a low-cost alternative to glass and tins.

The arrival of RPC Superfos into the group has further extended RPC’s injection moulding offerings with SuperLock, which also offers products a shelf life of up to 24 months combined with a screw on lid that ensures perfect re-closure and re-use.

The 535ml SuperLock has recently been selected by Lesieur for a new range of premium savoury spreads, thanks to its excellent barrier protection, see through area and great design without the risk of breakage.

The RPC stand will also highlight the many sustainable benefits of the company’s barrier solutions. Portion packs, for example, help to minimise food waste while a recent LCA study into baby food packaging highlighted the superior performance of plastic containers over their glass equivalents.
