During his eight years as President, Mr. DeJidas has transformed GAI into a vibrant business that continually pursues mergers, client partnerships, and top-notch staff. He has facilitated the firm’s success by implementing formalized programs for quality management, health and safety, and client care, as well as an in-house leadership and succession planning program, GAI University.

A 40-year company veteran, Gary DeJidas began his career as a civil engineer in 1972, and 10 years later, opened GAI’s first branch office in Orlando, Fla. Elected President in 2003, Mr. DeJidas now leads 750 employees across 21 offices in 10 states, making a commitment to stay connected with his staff by spending time at each location.
The annual Diamond Awards reception, hosted by the Pittsburgh Business Times, recognizes the region’s top CEOs and presidents. For his many accomplishments, Gary received the 2011 Diamond Award in the large for-profit category. Sixteen GAI staff members attended the event at the historic Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, Pa.
