Christopher Guy Furnishings Chosen for 2011 Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens

(May 2011) - Christopher Guy, “Creators of the World’s Most Fabulous Furnishings,” will bring its signature elegance to the 2011 Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens showcase in May 2011 located at the Thorndale Manor estate in Lake Forest, Illinois. The Manor and Coach House will feature more than 43 interior and landscape designers and will benefit the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago which provides healthcare to the medically underserved woman and children in Chicago. Select pieces from Christopher Guy’s collection of luxury furnishings will be featured in the closet areas of the manor, created by leading interior designers from Denise Rush Interior Design and The Eclectic Design Collaborative.

Renamed the “Hall of Closets,” the area offers the ultimate expression of creativity and function, in an otherwise obscure locale. The designers drew inspiration from Thorndale Manor’s past, pulling in jewel tones that are warm, yet sensual and exciting. Christopher Guy hand-carved mirrors, in a white lacquer finish, are installed vertically in line in the hall entrances. Another highlight includes an elegantly carved mahogany boudoir chair bearing Christopher Guy’s signature Chris-X legs (#60-0037) and matching vanity table in Java Café Varnish (#76-0105) in a walk-in closet.

The 2011 Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens will run from April 30, 2011 through May 22, 2011.
