Grouper Season Has Arrived - Grab a Fishing Pole with Cruise Naples

May 11, 2011 - PRLog -- As of April 1st, Gulf grouper season officially opened in Southwest Florida! What better way to enjoy area waterways than on a fishing excursion? Cruise Naples, based in Tin City in south Naples, is inviting area fisherman to grab a pole and head out on one of their deep-sea fishing boats for an adventurous grouper fishing experience.

Cruise Naples’ M/V Lady Brett, M/V Captain Paul and the new M/V KUDU, a 34-foot Sport Fisherman boat, offer fisherman and even those who just want to ride along, the ideal fishing experience. All vessels go out daily, some twice a day, and are available for group and private reservations as well. M/V Lady Brett departs twice daily at 7:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for deep-sea fishing up to approximately 12 miles offshore.

Cruise Naples guests need only bring themselves and perhaps a cooler with drinks and snacks. Rod, reel, tackle, bait and fishing license are included. On-board mates will clean, ice and bag the fish as well.

Gulf grouper season extends through February 1st when it closes for 2 months. Guests can catch and keep black grouper that are at least 22 inches long and red grouper at least 20 inches long, but Gag grouper are prohibited until May 31st due to overfishing.
