Great News Media, LLC, a  River Region social media marketing pioneer, is offering 30 local small business owners the opportunity to work together and with us to achieve those same successes, by participating in a 90 day “multimedia marketing blitz”.  Our Media partners include Charter Media for cable, Cumulus Broadcasting for radio and Winn Dixie is handing out over 2000-4000 messages per day to their customers through their register tape program..

“We have a phenomenal small business marketing plan that has been developed and tested over the last 2 years, and we are rolling it out in 3 phases over the next 6 to 8 months.  I'm excited for small businesses in the River Region.”, Eddie Spangler, General Manager of Great News Media stated.  “We live here, and we are all connected.  If businesses here do well, our community as a whole will do well.  We want to help the local business owner, come alongside them, and show them first hand, how to reach more customers”, he added.

This program will involve not only social media, but also elements such as video production, TV and radio commercials, press releases, celebrity spokespeople and email marketing, all areas that many may feel are for more privileged businesses with large advertising agencies and this “just isn't so anymore” exclaims Mr. Spangler,  “We know what is possible, and we make it happen every day.”  

“The goal is straightforward, and easy to understand,” Mr. Spangler continued, “What we aim to do is mentor small businesses and show them how they can cost effectively promote their products and services across a spectrum of media channels. Our local small businesses need all the help they can get, and effective marketing isn't as out of reach as small business owners may think.”  

The president of Great News Media, Dr. Angela Spangler added, “I have dedicated my entire career towards helping others, whether it's taking care of our wounded warriors, serving faithfully in our Armed Forces, creating and distributing media for charities and non-profits or helping to revive and invigorate our local economy, all receive exceptional service.  I am a small business owner, just like those we are trying to help, and I understand times are tight.  As long as a person is sincere about wanting to improve their position and working with us to make the most of their marketing opportunities, that's all it takes.  We are not looking to turn people away. Profit is not a factor during this first phase."
