Georgetown Hospital System Hosts Summertime Emergencies Seminar

Georgetown Hospital System will host “Summertime Emergencies in the Low Country,” a one-day seminar designed to educate and increase awareness of potential summertime emergencies, on Tuesday, May 24 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

May 10, 2011 - PRLog -- Georgetown Hospital System will host “Summertime Emergencies in the Low Country,” a one-day seminar designed to educate and increase awareness of potential summertime emergencies,  on Tuesday, May 24 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Wachesaw Conference Center in Murrells Inlet, across from Waccamaw Community Hospital.

The seminar will feature Dr. William Richmond, GHS Director of Emergency Services, and other speakers on topics such as heat-related illness, boat safety, weather emergencies such as severe thunderstorms or hurricanes, rip currents, safety from dangerous reptiles and insects, and beach dangers.  

Snacks and a boxed lunch will be provided to each participant. Seating is limited. To register for the seminar or for more information, please contact the GHS Staff Development office at 527-7105.
