Launched in 2001 by Delia Smith and her husband, Michael Wynn Jones, Delia Online has grown to become one of the UK’s leading sources of recipe ideas and inspiration based on Delia’s 40 years of food writing and presenting – on average, we have 1.4 million unique users per month coming to the site.
To mark the occasion we’re introducing a number of new elements to the site:
• A new-look homepage. This will give the site a fresh, contemporary feel and allows users to see more content easily, with drop-down navigation and easy access to over 1500 free-to-access Delia recipes, an archive of key ingredients and equipment and hundreds of features, plus a vibrant online forum.
• Better accessibility:
• A revamped Shop (ecommerce) area: this will include a new loyalty points system, rewarding our users for shopping through Delia Online at a wide range of reputable sites such as Marks & Spencer and John Lewis. Users can top up their loyalty points by browsing the site or sharing content on social media sites, eg Facebook and collected points can be redeemed for vouchers which can be used online and in the High Street.
• Features, competitions and giveaways: food events of the past 10 years, plus the chance for new registrants to win an egg timer!
• New online advertising agency: we have appointed online advertising agency Ad2One for our above-the-line site inventory.
