Final Routing for immigration film Tony & Janina’s American Wedding tour of Michigan confirmed

PRLog (Press Release) - May 9, 2011 - Acclaimed Director Ruth Leitman will premier her award-winning immigration documentary TONY & JANINA'S AMERICAN WEDDING in Michigan with a statewide screening tour in partnership with Alliance for Immigrants Rights (AIR) starting Saturday May 14th in Bay City, MI, and ending a week later on Saturday May 21st in Dearborn, MI.  

In total, Director Leitman will present eight screenings of the file, and lead Q&A sessions at each event about the film, immigration reform, and the status of the Wasilewski family’s ongoing struggle to be reunited in the United States.

Set on the backdrop of the Chicago political scene, and featuring Illinois Congressman Luis Gutierrez at the heart of the immigration reform movement, this film follows the Wasilewski’s 3-year struggle to be reunited, as their Senator Barack Obama rises to the Presidency.
