Follow on Google News | King Edward’s Junior School celebrates National Family Week with a Family Cycle RideKing Edward's Junior School encourages families to spend time together on a cycle ridge as part of National Family Week
By: King Edward's School, Bath The idea behind National Family Week is to encourage families to spend more time together to enhance family life. King Edward’s Junior School support this goal and every term they organise events which the whole family can enjoy together. Head Teacher, Greg Taylor said: “We organise a family event every term, last term was a Family Ramble and this term is a Family Cycle. We like to encourage a community atmosphere at the Junior School and organising fun activities which families can do together is a great way of achieving this. The Family Cycle ride is very popular, it’s lovely to see families enjoying a fun activity altogether and getting exercise at the same time is a bonus.” At King Edward’s Pre-Prep & Nursery they are planning a family event designed to appeal to families with babies, toddlers and young children. The event, called Princesses and Knights Family Fun Day, takes place on Saturday 21st May, 2011 between 10am and 1pm in the grounds of the School at Weston Lane, Bath. The event has a child-inspired, magical theme of Princesses and Knights and there are a host of activities designed to entertain families with children planned for the day. All families with young children who would like to join the fun are welcome to come along. For further details about National Family Week go to the website www.nationalfamilyweek.co.uk End
