Division of International Affairs (DIA) organized Five Countries based 'World Education Fair' at LPU

May 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Division of International Affairs organized 'World Education Fair' at Lovely Professional University. Delegates from more than 11 Universities of UK, USA, Australia, Canada and Singapore participated actively to guide the aspiring students about study abroad programmes. The Deputy Director of DIA Mr Aman Mittal welcomed the delegates from the world renowned universities. informative 'SEMINARS' were held after every half an hour to accommodate more and more of students. Many of the parents and relatives of the students also availed of this great opportunity to get well assured about the programmes pertaining to foreign lands.

Inaugurating the fair, the Pro Chancellor of the University, Mrs Rashmi Mittal informed the media: " We have provided this special opportunity to our aspiring students, their parents and relatives so that they may get a clear picture about courses offered, university campus, housing, insurance etc while opting to study in a foreign land." He further said: "We at the university continue thinking on novel lines of progress to be regularly accorded to our students so that they may get adjusted and shine regularly in the global scenario. At present, the sole aim of the student ought to be to grasp the best possible offer emerging. The present fair is on these lines. In fact, We want to bring the concept of overseas education, through collaboration and twinning programmes, to the doorstep of every student, by making it affordable and devoid of cumbersome procedures."

On this occasion one of the delegates, Ms Sultana Khan from JCU Singapore said: "We have got a great opportunity at LPU to guide hundreds of students belonging to different parts of India and many other foreign lands. We have observed that the students at the University are themselves very well conversant about the foreign educational scenario. However we provided them all other additional details which pertained to their present day queries in regard to the latest programmes of immediate global needs." She further added: "We have clearly informed the students about government own-ship of the Institutes, vocationally and academic focused qualifications, exit awards, degrees, diplomas etc”.

On this occasion one of the parents, Mr Ajay Taneja,father of a B Tech student Ms Srishti Taneja said : " My only daughter wanted to join a collaborative foreign programme. We had certain doubts about her pursuing studies in a distant country. However, this fair has helped us a lot, and that too free of cost, to have clear concepts about Exams & Coaching, Career, University Selection , Admission procedure etc which are very essential for a foreign aspiring student to know beforehand. I congratulate the university authorities for such an informative organization."
