Iowa State University(ISU) and Lovely Professional University signed a memorandum of Understanding

May 9, 2011 - PRLog -- As another milestone to becoming the Global University, LPU singed a MOU with Iowa State University of United States. ISU is a globally renowned university and ranks among Top 50 Universities of the World. This MOU facilitate the cooperation between ISU and LPU for student exchange, Faculty exchange and joint research programs . Dr Downing Thomas, Associate Provost & Dean of International Program and registrar from LPU signed the MOU. During his two days visit to the university, Dr. Thomas had discussions with the Chancellor and Pro Chancellor of LPU, about various aspects of international education. He also had discussions with Academic Affair Team of the University and saw synergy between both the universities especially in our Engineering, Business, Animation and Arts departments.

Dr Thomas was in awe looking at the infrastructure of LPU and was glad to know that LPU follows American style of curriculum and grading methodology. He said, “Utmost attention is given to selection of knowledge partners in accordance with stringent parameters laid down by ISU. LPU fits like hand in glove with the ISU as both have a focus on innovation in education. LPU is a truly global university with state of the art infrastructure, unmatched pedagogy, innovation quotient, highly skilled faculty and industry focused curriculum. The facilities in LPU are at par with that in best international universities. We are glad to join hands with the largest university of India.”

Mr Ashok Mittal, chancellor LPU while talking to media said, “LPU is focused on providing global education to its students. An education perspective that brings synergies between interconnected global society. To accomplish this LPU has been working on internationalization of its faculty & curriculum right from its inception. Joining hands with ISU gives us a jump in the learning curve. I am sure that this collaboration will benefit the students of both the universities.LPU already has tie ups with more than 25 international universities from US, UK, Australia and Canada.“
