Nevada State College commencement to be held tomorrow

Nevada State College will celebrate the college’s eighth spring commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday, May 7, at the Henderson Pavilion.
 
May 6, 2011 - PRLog -- With the addition of this year's graduates, over 1,350 students have graduated from Nevada State College since 2004.

TIME:     Ceremony begins at 7 p.m. and gates open at 6 p.m.

“Tomorrow, Nevada State College will graduate yet another class of talented professionals,” said Nevada State College President Leslie Di Mare.  “In these tough economic times, students often have to make great sacrifices to pursue higher education. At commencement, their dedication will be commemorated, and we will celebrate their achievement as they prepare to embark on a new career in our community,”

At the spring commencement, NSC will also bestow its President’s Medal Award to four distinguished local leaders and philanthropists who have shown extraordinary commitment to the mission of Nevada State College.  The 2011 recipients include Glenn Christenson, David Chavez and Robert and Sandy Ellis.
