(Oxford, Mich.) – Relume Technologies, a leading manufacturer of light-emitting diode (LED) products and smart grid control systems for outdoor lighting applications, will be exhibiting its unique patented outdoor lighting products at Lightfair International May 17-19, 2011 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, Penn. as part of the world’s largest architectural and commercial lighting show.  In Booth #3813 in Exhibit Hall D, Relume Technologies will showcase its patented Light Control/ Sentinel™ system; streetlamp LED Retrofit program; energy-efficient EcoVista™ next-generation billboard LED lighting system; high-impact parking garage fixtures; and its state-of-the-art LED VUE™ streetlamps – all of which are more energy efficient, reduce more energy bills and carbon footprints, and longer-lasting than competitive technologies.

Sentinel™ System – Control and Monitoring
Municipalities can realize substantial cost savings and emission reductions while enhancing the safety, security and well being of residents by controlling their entire network of existing communications infrastructure and transmitting data to and from each street light while using Sentinel™.  This unique, patented, and user-friendly desktop hardware is the only networked lighting control and monitoring system to use secure FCC-allocated, Public Service radio channels.  Sentinel™ allows cities large and small to turn on/off or dim individual lamps, zones, or arbitrary groups; integrate with emergency services; and detect individual lamp outages, irregular operation, lamp failure, ambient light status, and lamp burn time. Unlike other streetlight control systems, there are no follow-on monthly or annual data communication charges that must be paid to cellular, GPRS, ADSL, WI-FI or WIMAX providers because communication across a city’s public safety bands is free.

Street Lighting Retrofits
Maintain the charm of nearly every classic decorative design lamps – acorn, teardrop, lantern, top hat and carriage style – using Relume’s Street Lighting Retrofit systems with patented circuitry that reduces energy costs up to 85% and reduces maintenance costs up to 80% for long lasting output and energy savings in all climates and in all temperatures. Street Lighting Retrofit installation is easy – anywhere from three to five minutes per fixture – and can be accomplished by one worker.  Connection to a photocell, if required, is straightforward.  Relume light engines are designed to work with most commonly used fitters.  All light engines can be ordered in soft, true and cool color temperatures and all Relume systems are designed to last 75,000 hours or more, making it the longest lasting LED product on the market.   Retrofit light engines are control system compatible for even more potential energy savings.  All Relume light engines return to full brightness nearly instantly when commanded to do so.  Financing options are available for both public and private sectors.

EcoVista™
Brighter, truer, and more uniformly illuminated billboards are possible with Relume’s energy-efficient EcoVista™ next-generation LED lighting system.  Compared with conventional lighting fixtures, EcoVista™ provides superior color rendering, with a cooler, more accurate hue across the board.  Because LED light output from EcoVista™ is extremely focused, more light illuminates the board and far less escapes into the night, making EcoVista™ community-friendly technology EcoVista™ for Dark Skies initiatives.  EcoVista™ consumes 65% less energy than other high-intensity discharge (HID) sources of billboard lighting. On a traditional 14’ X 48’ billboard, six EcoVista™ fixtures, consume less than 600 Watts, compared to the 890-1780 Watts that are required by traditional lighting.  With its patented Silver Circuitry™ thermal management technology, Relume’s EcoVista™ operates cooler, so it will last longer – an estimated 15 years before requiring replacement.

Parking Garage Fixture (PS Series)
Relume white LED light arrays eliminate hot spots and provide a crisp daylight look for parking structures, underpasses, gas station canopies and other canopies requiring ultimate visibility with minimal energy consumption.  Relume Low Bay/Parking/Canopy Lights feature premium Cree XRE light source; aircraft quality aluminum housing; high-impact UV stabilized, non-yellowing polycarbonate lens; UL Class 2 Compliant driver; international Dark Skies compliant; RoHS compliant; and have been independently tested. Relume’s new high output fixtures produce up to an impressive 11,900 lumens, making it perfect for parking lots, industrial lighting and any application needing very bright, even light.  All Relume white LED light arrays are available in standard Cool, new optional True, and Soft white.
