Orlando-Based Aquatic Leader Bottled Ocean Promotes Cortney Johnson

May 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Orlando, Fla. — Bottled Ocean, an aquatic management solutions company, has announced the promotion of Aquatic Specialist Cortney Johnson to the position of Director. Cortney joined the company in 2006. She is currently based out of Bottled Ocean’s satellite office at Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, Fla.

Her natural ability to handle and care for animals has created her position in the company as a director responsible for animal health, diagnosis and treatments. She manages the daily routines and feeding shows at the waterways and Bottled Ocean exhibits at the Gaylord Palms. Cortney also handles commercial and residential aquarium maintenance and animal rescue missions.

She collaborates with top marine biologists and programs all over the United States to seek out new treatments for sick and injured marine life along with exploring new natural ways to control a number of issues that occur in captive marine environments.

In this role, Cortney has discovered new Euryhaline species (organisms that are able to exist in waters of a wide range of salinity) and has discovered new ways to control algae growth using natural remedies.

Cortney is an active community volunteer and has worked with the Plantation Bay rehabilitation center/nursing home, Osceola Regional Medical Center/ER and Osceola Fire departments. An animal lover, she has 3 dogs, 3 cats, a ferret, mud turtle and leopard gecko.
