Chesterton Donates £700 and a Trophy ahead of the Childline "Whirlwind Charity Tournament"

May 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Chesterton, the estate agents in Ocean Village, has donated the trophy, to be called the “Chesterton Cup” and contributed £700 to Childline Gibraltar funds ahead of the Whirlwind 8 Ball Charity Tournament Play-off to take place at Ocean Village on 11th May 2011.  The Whirlwind Tournament which has already taken place in Gibraltar has produced 10 winners each of whom will play Jimmy White.   The winner who attains the highest score on the day will win the Chesterton Cup. Tickets for this event are now on sale.  Jimmy “Whirlwind” White has played professional snooker for nearly 30 years, winning a total of 23 professional titles and competing in the finals of six World Championships.  Mrs Barbara Sellors, the Event Organiser, was most grateful to receive the £700 donation to Childline “Thank you again Chesterton, for supporting our cause.  Our volunteers work hard to prevent cruelty to children, and to maintain this work we rely on donations from the private sector”.  Mike Nicholls, the local head of Chesterton, commented “We are pleased, once again, to be able to support Childline in Gibraltar.  It remains to be the case that whilst we make our living here in Gibraltar, we will give something back to Gibraltar.  And of course I am personally looking forward to presenting the inaugural Chesterton Cup at the finals”.
