May 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Macon Speedway would like to “Celebrate America” this Saturday night by having a special balloon release during a special intermission.  Every fan who would like to participate in “Celebrating America” should bring a red, white or blue balloon to be released and they will receive $2 off the general admission price.  In light of the recent events concerning the capture of Osama bin Laden Macon Speedway would like to pay tribute to all of the Americans who lost their lives on September 11 and pay tribute to all the service men and women who have lost their lives or who have protected our country against terrorism.  Please help us by bringing your balloons!  Macon Speedway will also be giving out American flags to the first 500 fans in the gate on Saturday night to help commemorate the special event.

We would also like to pay tribute to our Mom’s that support our track on a regular basis.  All Moms will receive a flower upon entry on Saturday evening.  Macon Speedway will be hosting their annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta with a jalapeno eating contest during intermission.

Saturday night’s schedule will feature six UMP divisions, including the Chevrolet Late Models, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Touchstone Energy Sportsman, Street Stock, Pro Hornets and Amateur Hornets.

Macon Speedway offers fun family entertainment every Saturday night from April to September.  With many fan favorite events on schedule, including two “Night of NASCAR Stars” nights planned and the famous Herald and Review 100, UMP’s premier Summer National event.  The first Night of Nascar Stars event will be held on Memorial Day, May 30 featuring Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace and Justin Allgaier.  Then Macon Speedway will host the second Night of NASCAR stars on June 28 when Tony Stewart, Kenny Schrader and Kenny Wallace will be in attendance to introduce a new face to Macon Speedway, Trevor Bayne, the 2011 Daytona 500 winner.

Gates will open this Saturday at 5:00 and racing will start at 7:00.  Adults are $10 with a balloon and $12 without balloon; kids 11 and under get in for free with a paying adult.
