May 6, 2011 - PRLog -- On Sunday, May 15, Jules Thin Crust Pizza restaurants in Pennsylvania will donate 15 percent of sales from any order to Kids With Food Allergies Foundation (KFA), when customers mention KFA. Based in Doylestown, PA, KFA is a national non-profit organization with the mission to improve the day-to-day lives of families raising children with food allergies, and to empower them to create a safe and healthy future for their children.  Funds raised will be used to further KFA’s mission by expanding its peer support program, food allergy education, and support of food allergy research.

“Jules Thin Crust has a long track record of supporting our community through fund raising for local sports teams, schools and other organizations,” said John Ordway, owner, Jules Thin Crust Pizza. “We are happy to add KFA to our list of sponsored organizations. We understand the difficulty food allergy poses in eating out, and have worked hard to produce tasty gluten-free options for our customers.”

Jules Thin Crust Pizza was established in 2005, with the goal to serve the world’s finest, best tasting and organic thin crust pizza. Jules Thin Crust Pizza is made using all natural, organic, and where possible, locally grown ingredients. A gluten-free menu is available. The gluten-free dough has been evaluated by the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America, and determined to be safe for customers with Celiac.

“Food allergy affects every aspect of a family’s life, and eating out is often difficult, if not impossible,” said Lynda Mitchell, president and founder of KFA. “KFA would like to thank Jules Thin Crust pizza for their support, both with this fundraiser, and their support of our mission to improve the day-to-day lives of children with food allergies.”

All three of the Jules Thin Crust Pizza restaurants in Pennsylvania will participate in the fundraiser, including Doylestown, at 78 South Main Street (215) 345-8565; Newtown, at 300 Sycamore Street (215) 579-0111; and Jenkintown, at 817 Old York Road (215) 886-5555. Members of KFA’s management team and board of directors will be on hand at each location from 11:30a-2:30p to answer questions and provide a resource for customers with food allergies.
