Miller Motor Sales and Local Community to Raise as much as $8,000 for Burlington High School

Miller Motor Sales is bringing Ford's innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to Burlington to raise up to $6,000 for Burlington High School. For every test-drive on May 7, Miller Motor Sales and Ford will donate $20 to Burlington High School.

 
PRLog - May 5, 2011 - BURLINGTON, Wis. -- Burlington, WI – Miller Motor Sales is bringing Ford Motor Company’s innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to the Burlington community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for Burlington High School. For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at Burlington High School on May 7, Miller Motor Sales and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Burlington High School. Ford will also donate an additional $10 for a second test drive of the all-new 2012 Ford Focus, up to an additional $2,000. The funds will support Burlington High School’s athletics department.

“As part of the Burlington community, all of us at Miller Motor Sales are excited to help Burlington High School raise funds that will be used for their athletic department. We hope to see a strong turnout from the community at our Drive One 4 UR School event. It will be a fun day of test drives that will benefit our young people,” said Chris Miller, President at Miller Motor Sales. The event, which will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., will feature the Ford Explorer, 2012 Focus, Fiesta, Edge, F-150, Mustang and other available models.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in 2007, more than 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events have generated over $5 million in donations for high schools nationwide. Locally, Miller Motor Sales participated in Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in 2010 and raised over $4,400.

In addition to raising much-needed revenue for high school extracurricular activities, the program gives participants the chance to experience Ford Motor Company’s exciting new vehicles and leading safety technologies, including:

•   MyKey™, a system that allows parents to limit a vehicle’s top speed and audio volume to encourage safe driving behavior in teens;
•   SYNC®, the fully integrated, in-vehicle voice-activated communications and entertainment system, updated with a “Do Not Disturb” button to block incoming calls and text messages and improved text message read-back capabilities so drivers can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel;
•   Blind Spot Information System (BLIS™) with cross traffic alert, which uses radar to check the blind spot and helps notify the driver of approaching traffic when backing out of a parking spot; and,
•   Active Park Assist, a technology that helps drivers position the vehicle for parallel parking and then steer it into a parking spot without touching the steering wheel.
•   SmartGauge™ with EcoGuide is a unique instrument cluster designed to give hybrid owners a more connected driving experience by coaching them to further maximize the fuel efficiency of their hybrid vehicle.

Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
