Mademoiselle Sophie Produce New Vibrant Eco-Chic Clothing For Children

May 5, 2011 - PRLog -- New organic children’s clothing company Mademoiselle Sophie has launched its website (www.mademoisellesophie.co.uk) featuring chic and timeless classic clothing for young girls.

Building on the ethos of comfortable, ethical and environmentally sustainable clothes for fashion conscious children; the range features exciting and colourful pieces which are trans-seasonal, reversible and, above all, fun.  It is hoped that the clothing will be “recycled” by being handed down to other little ones rather than being added to land field sites.

Commenting on the launch of the new range, Sophie Gaxette, founder of Mademoiselle Sophie said “Whilst I still have a lot to learn about ethical and organic fashion, I didn't appreciate how much pesticides went onto cotton when it's being farmed. Obviously, it can't be healthy for the people who wear those clothes, but also, for the ones that are growing the cotton.  All of the cotton used in our pieces come from GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified sources.”

She continued “I grew up in a small village, where my mum used to buy clothes from the little boutique that had good quality clothes. Once I grew out of them, they were handed down to my cousins. Nowadays, with cheap clothes available from people buy clothes in quantity rather than for the quality. Once worn a few times, they get chucked to the bin!”

All of Mademoiselle Sophie’s clothes are produced using organic fabric and ethical processes.  Designed and manufactured in India, the garments are a fantastic combination of sensational style and comfortable clothing which are produced without compromising on ethical or environmental standards.
