The Allendale Community for Mature Living Recognizes Three Staff Members With Above & Beyond Award

PRLog (Press Release) - May 5, 2011 - It has been said that there is no greater joy, nor greater reward, than to make a fundamental difference in someone's life. At The Allendale Community for Mature Living, where more than 250 staff members are making a difference in the lives of senior residents each and every day, three individuals have been recognized with the senior campus' newly created "Above & Beyond" Award. The honorees, who were nominated by residents, include Rosetta Slattery of Ramsey, Amy Cajes of Jersey City and Jenny Cuffee of Paterson.

"The Above & Beyond Awards were created to recognize the ‘best-of-the-best' who make a difference in the lives of our senior residents and their families," said Joan Fredella, L.N.H.A., C.A.L.A., administrator. "We are celebrating the day-to-day contributions that extend beyond each person's traditional occupational responsibilities. These women embody The Allendale Community's highest standards for professionalism, commitment and compassion."

The honorees represent each of the community's three senior residences. Slattery is the concierge at The Atrium, the apartment-rental senior community; Cajes is a certified nurse assistant at Carlton Court, the assisted living residence; and Cuffee is the activity assistant at The Allendale Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, which offers long-term skilled nursing and short-term subacute care.

Developed in stages beginning in 1967, The Allendale Community is widely recognized as a pioneer in modern-day eldercare. Today, the campus remains physician-owned and operated and was one of the first retirement communities in the region to incorporate three fully licensed levels of residency to offer a continuum of care.
