So, we’ve had to create a marketing plan to attract new business, and our first venture was to sign up for the Visual Media 2011 State of the Art Expo, to be held at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco on May 12. The organizers, formerly known as the Printing Industries of Northern California – PINC, have changed their name and their thrust to respond to the changing landscape of communications which is less and less print-based. The Organization is now structured to tap the latest trends and technologies in design, web, mobile and marketing, including cross-media content delivery.
Reflecting that change in focus, our marketing plan includes a first foray into Social Media: inviting our long-term customers and co-vendors to request a few passes we have available to the Bay Area’s largest local trade show which focuses on multi-channel communications, by “liking” us on Facebook or recommending us on LinkedIn. This has not only increased our profile, but has prompted many of the respondents to comment on our latest feature in the San Jose Mercury News "A success in any language". Clients who have worked with us for many years were surprised to learn of the family nature of our business.
The clients that attend the Expo and visit us will realize that the nature of this “family business” continues into the third generation – as Veronica Itzkowich, granddaughter of the Chairman and niece of the President, will be working the International Contact table!
International Contact’s President will also lead a round table on “Making Translation Easier” during the Visual Media Expo, several clients who cannot attend have requested the pointers that Carla will be suggesting for discussion at that session. Corporate marketing and creative directors, business owners of visual media companies, mobile Marketing developers, web designers and developers and graphic designers interested in addressing ethnic markets domestically or foreign markets abroad who would like these pointers will be able to download them from our website www.intlcontact.com, our Facebook page or our LinkedIn profile after the Expo.
