Fiji Islands Wedding Guide - By Castaway Island
The success of the guide and it's dissemination is explained by Castaway's Sales and Marketing Manager, Karen Marvell -
"We underestimated the reach this simple guide would have. We knew there was a need out there but didn't realise how hungry brides were for information about getting married in Fiji."
Ms Marvell explains that it was created as an in-house document. It was posted on the Resort's website for Castaway's wedding co-ordinator to refer people to.
"We then decided to post it on Facebook and Twitter to get feedback from our fans. It's now in the hands of bridal parties all over the world. We're even getting enquiries from the Carribean!"
The downloadable PDF guide includes Castaway's "Marry ME for FREE" offer which gives a bride and groom their wedding for free depending on the number of guests they bring to the island. Ms Marvell believes that the interest in the package, and the clear information in the guide about legal requirements when marrying in Fiji, has sparked it's viral sharing.
She points out the power of social media and online content marketing -
"To get this sort of reach traditionally would have been very costly. We've been able to tell new international markets about the benefits of a Castaway wedding and how beautiful it is to wed in Fiji."
